On Thursday October 5, 2023, the LSU AgCenter's Pesticide Safety Education program will be holding a Commercial Recertification for Commercial Pesticide Applicators.

Categories 3 - Ornamental and Turf Pest Management

Registration / Check-in begins at 7:30 AM and Training begins at 8:00 AM.

This will be a hybrid training event. Please select either in-person or virtual when adding to your cart.

Both in-person and virtual training will begin at 8:00 AM and end at approximately 4:00 PM. Applicators must attend the entire conference to qualify for recertification that extends your certification for three years, until October of 2026.

In-person Attendance:

Limited in-person training is available for those that cannot participate virtually. In-person training will be available at the Holiday Inn and Suites (Lafayette, LA). In-person seating is limited to 30 registrants.

In-person training session will be held at The Holiday Inn & Suites Lafayette North from 8am until 4pm and include lunch.

Virtual Attendance:

LSU AgCenter will host the virtual attendance for this recertification on Microsoft Teams. If you register for this conference to attend virtually, you will need to have a working computer / tablet, adequate internet service and you will be required to take short, review quizzes throughout the day. (These will take only a few minutes to take and submit, electronically but they are required for receiving credit for the recertification event.)

You will receive several emails from the LSU AgCenter PSEP explaining how to connect on the day of the conference and also there will be a tech-check held on Monday morning of that week (between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM)   – that will allow you to connect for a few minutes to check your equipment and internet so that you will know how to function with it on that Thursday ( October 5th), the day of the recertification event. You will receive information explaining all of this to your email address after you are registered for this event.
