This event is for current Certified Private Pesticide Applicators who need to re-certify before March 31, 2023. By attending one of these virtual (online) meetings you will be re-certified for another three year period (until 2026). This recertification event will be held on Microsoft TEAMS. If registered for one of the scheduled events, you will receive an email that will include instructions and the link to join the event the week before your selected event.
This virtual training will be done live, in an online format through Microsoft TEAMS by the LSU AgCenter PSEP. Applicators who are planning to participate in virtual recertification and who have pre-registered (at the LSU AgCenter’s online store) must have an email address and access to the internet. They will receive an email on the Monday prior to the meeting with an invitation link and instructions. All participants in the virtual recertification must attend a technology check on the day prior to the event at 8:30 AM to make sure that their computer and internet work properly; this will help to reduce issues during the training event. Applicators are strongly encouraged to have camera for LDAF to monitor their participation in the event. In addition to the camera, participants will be given simple quiz questions throughout the event to assist in monitoring participation.
If an applicator is not able to attend a virtual or an in-person recertification event, LDAF does allow for recertification by re-testing. The exam must be passed with a minimum of 70% to regain certification.
