September 26 and October 3, 17, and 24 at 11:00am

A five-part series on diabetes will be held at the East Feliciana- LSU AgCenter Office located at 4419 Idlewild Road, Clinton, LA 70722 on September 26, October 3, 17 and 24 at 11:00am.  The fifth class, a reunion, will be determined  at a later date. This program helps adults at risk for type 2 diabetes, who are pre-diabetic or who have diabetes and their families/caregivers learn how to manage their condition through menu planning, carbohydrate counting, portion control, and label reading. Participants have the opportunity  to  sample healthful  foods using the concepts taught in  class.  The class will need at least five registered to be conducted.
