On Thursday May 15, 2025, the LSU AgCenter's Pesticide Safety Education program will be holding a HYBRID Commercial Recertification for Categories 2 (a-c) (Forests, Nurseries and Wood Processing). 

This event is for Commercial Pesticide Applicators - for Recertification (or Certification) in categories: 2 (a-c). This includes applicators who use or supervise the use of restricted use pesticides in forests, forest nurseries and forest seed production or who work with wood processing of wood products.

In-Person attendance will be held from 8am until 4pm at the Louisiana Evacuation Center, located on the Dean Lee Research Station (south end of the LSU-A campus on Hwy 71).

In Person:
Limited in-person training is available for those unable to participate virtually and is limited to the first 50 registrants.

Registration / check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. and training begins at 8:00 a.m. Applicators must attend the entire conference to qualify for recertification. Attendance at this conference will extend your certification for three years, until May 2028.

In-Person Registration includes a provided lunch as part of the training. 

Virtual:
This training will also be held virtually using Microsoft Teams. Virtual participants must attend the entire conference to qualify for recertification. Check-up quizzes will be given throughout the day to in order to monitor attendees and ensure participation. 

Virtual attendance requires a working computer or tablet with adequate internet access. Microphone and camera are not required for the session but they are preferred. 

You will receive several emails from the LSU AgCenter PSEP office explaining how to connect on the day of the conference.

There will be a tech-check held on the morning of  Monday, 5/12/25, between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM) that will allow you to connect for a few minutes to check your equipment and internet service.

Attendance at this conference will extend your certification for three years, until May 2028.
