The LSU AgCenter Rice Production School program will deliver a robust, deep learning opportunity of rice production practices for participants.
Sessions:
The school will be comprised of six, 2-day, concurrent sessions conducted on the Monday and Tuesday of the second week of April, May, July, August, September, and October. Each beginning at the Rice Research Station in Crowley.
Topics:
The topics covered will be how to calibrate your sprayer, which herbicides to spray and when, crawfish ecology, a tour of supreme rice’s milling and parboil operations, stored grain insects and their maintenance, how to take soil samples and read the report, detailed descriptions of each plant disease and management tactics to battle it, and many more!
Fee: $300
All sessions will be included in the $300 fee.
Attendees will receive a shirt and a certificate at the end of the session.
