The LSU AgCenter is conducting a training for those certified pesticide applicators with Category 3: Ornamental and Turf Pest Management certification in Louisiana.

This training is intended for previously certified pesticide applicators. If someone needs to become certified for the first time, the study materials can be ordered from the LSU AgCenter’s On-Line Store. You are welcome to contact LSU AgCenter’s Pesticide Safety Education Program at 225-578-6998 for more information about which manuals to purchase.

Notice on In-Person Availability:
In person seating is intended for those that cannot participate virtually and is limited to 40 registrants.

In Person:
Registration / check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. and training begins at 8:00 a.m. Applicators must attend the entire conference to qualify for recertification. Attendance at this conference will extend your certification for three years, until October 2028.

In-Person Registration includes a provided lunch as part of the training. 

Virtual:
This training will also be held virtually using Microsoft Teams. Virtual participants must attend the entire conference to qualify for recertification. Check-up quizzes will be given throughout the day to in order to monitor attendees and ensure participation. 

Virtual attendance requires a working computer or tablet with adequate internet access. Microphone and camera are not required for the session but they are preferred. 

You will receive several emails from the LSU AgCenter PSEP office explaining how to connect on the day of the conference.

There will be a tech-check held on the Monday morning of that week (between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM) that will allow you to connect for a few minutes to check your equipment and internet service.

Attendance at this conference will extend your certification for three years, until October 2028.
